About DIN 1.4401 (316)

DIN 1.4401 (EN X5CrNiMo17-12-2), equivalent to AISI 316 / UNS S31600, is an austenitic stainless steel with added molybdenum for enhanced resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chlorides. Often referred to as marine grade stainless steel.
